Discover Galway City
Galway City is the fourth largest city in the Republic of Ireland and is the only city in the province of Connacht. Visiting Galway is well worth it due to the amount of things to do and see, in 2004 there were 51 venues for events, there were also three dance organisations, ten festival companies, two film organisations, two Irish language organisations, 23 musical organisations, twelve theatre companies, two visual arts groups and four writers' groups based in the city
Along with numerous events and festivals, Galway city lays host to the Galway City Museum, has it's own Town Hall Theatre, the river Corrib waterway and more. There is never little to do in the City, the events included annually are a great selection of choice, providing entertainment and amusement all year round. Eyre Square is a great park in Galway adjoining the nearby shopping area of Williams Street and Shop Street, which has some historic statues and other attractions as well as two shopping centres nearby for interest and visitor requirements.
